Biljana Tutorov, Program Director
Biljana Tutorov is a director, producer and curator. After graduating Art History (UCL, Belgium) she studied Film Anthropology (EPHE) and Drama (Jacques Lecoq School) in Paris. She was first director’s assistant to Yugoslavian film director Želimir Žilnik. In 2010, she founded Wake Up Films in order to produce talents from the CEE region. Biljana established and programmed Regional competition for fiction and docs at FREE ZONE Film Festival in Belgrade until the 2017. In 2018 she created a new platform for women filmmakers - CIRCLE Women Doc Accelerator - which she is the head of. Her feature documentary When Pigs Come (2017) won several awards and was screened in Sarajevo, Hot Docs, Vision du Reel, Cinemed, DokuFest among many other festivals. Biljana was a member of the 59. Festival dei Popoli, Florence, international jury. She is among EAVE 2021 Producers workshop participants, Chicken & Egg 2021 grantees and is alumna of EURODOC and Producers On The Move, and a member of DOK Serbia, Documentary Association of Europe (DAE), European Women Audiovisual Network (EWA) and European Film Academy (EFA).
Biana Oana,
Head of Studies, CIRCLE Fiction Orbit
Bianca is a young Romanian screenwriter and producer. Since 2009, she has been working in developing, producing and promoting multi-awarded art-house films, including Toto and His Sisters (San Sebastian IFF World Premiere, Won Angers Grand Prix, Zurich IFF Golden Eye Award, Best Documentary Warsaw IFF, Nominated for EFA Best Documentary, nominated for Lux Prize), Turn Off the Lights (World Premiere Tribeca Film Festival New York - Viewpoints, Won The Heart of Sarajevo for Best Documentary Sarajevo Film Festival, and Best Director Zagreb Dox), If I Want to Whistle I Whistle (Berlinale Grand Jury Prix and Alfred Bauer Award for Innovation 2011). In 2015, she founded her own company, Monogram Film. In 2017, she was selected in the Emerging Producers program. Dedicated to discovering filmmakers with a particular artistic view, Bianca has been building an expertise in handling challenging filmmaking processes, at the unpredictable border between fiction and reality, and with complex international co-production structures: Collective (Oscar nominee for Best Documentary and Best International Feature) by Alexander Nanau, Golden Bear winner Touch Me Not by Adina Pintilie, and Anhell69 by Theo Montoya. She is the creative producer of the 2022 Romanian Pavilion at Venice Art Biennale with Adina Pintilie's You Are Another Me - A Cathedral of the Body.
Bojan Schuch, Financial Manager
Bojan Schuch is an experienced executive with expertise in business planning, programs and financial management. He was Executive Director of the Institute of Documentary Film from 2012 to 2018 and Director of CEE Animation from 2019 to 2023. During this time he was responsible for the management and implementation of more than 50 projects supported by various funding programs from different Creative Europe MEDIA grant schemes, the Czech Ministry of Culture and the Czech Cinematography Fund.
He has proven experience in coordinating activities and is responsible for all standard services required for effective project and financial management, including the preparation of evaluation and monitoring data and statistics as well as figures on the programs and projects implemented. Long-standing cooperation with the authorities of the Czech Republic, EC and the EEA in areas relevant to the implementation of the programs, as well as audit support.Bojan holds the position of Finance Manager at Circle.
Luka Venturin, Program Coordinator
Luka gained formal education at the College of Entrepreneurship (VERN) in Zagreb. While studying Production on the Academy of Dramatic Art in Zagreb, Luka started working as an assistant producer and production manager with many production companies. While working in various aspects of audio-visual production, such as animation, TV show, TV series, event organizing, workshop production, short film production, he became delegate producer and partner in Sekvenca, where he develop film projects by young, perspective writers and directors. His biggest success in Sekvenca was the short film Picnic, that premiered on the Berlinale 2015. In the Generation section, and subsequently won the European Film Award for Best European short film of 2015. From 2018. he started working full time as a freelance producer and organizer. The most recent success came with a 2021 documentary production Factory to the Workers, which premiered at Sheffield documentary festival and was declared best Croatian film in 2021. by Croatian film critics association. He is a Berlinale Talents, Maia Workshop, Ex-oriente and Sarajevo Talent campus alumni.
Since 2017, Luka also works as an organizer of cultural events on many markets and forums, including WEMW Trieste, Zagrebdox, Far East film festival Udine, Connecting Cottbus, Meeting Point Vilnius, Cinelink Sarajevo, SAFFF Singapore.
Virginia Eronico, Production Assistant
Virginia Eronico holds a Master Degree in History of Arts and Conservation of Artistic Heritage, with a specialisation in contemporary art. Through the course of her formation she studied cinema, visual culture and visual anthropology both in Frankfurt Am Main and Paris. She worked as a gallery assistant in Paris and Venice, and for the PR Office at the 80th Venice Film Festival.
